On-shore

OpenOcean STUDIO® is a cloud-based platform allowing you to log in securely through a web browser without downloading or installing any software. And because it’s cloud-based your data is always synced, regardless of whether you log on at the office or at home.

On-board

We know fleet connectivity can be intermittent due to the reliability, bandwidth, and latency of VSAT connections, so our dedicated onboard solution extends a subset of the OpenOcean STUDIO® functionality to each vessel within the fleet without the need for a permanent connection to the internet.

 

We know the vessels themselves generate most of a fleet’s operational data. Typically, much of it stays on board the vessel or is transmitted directly to third parties. Our onboard software negates this, allowing for valuable vessel-specific operational insights.

 

We know seafarers are all too often burdened with administrative tasks. Our onboard portal syncs with the shoreside web portal, which allows common tasks between ship and shore to be automated. This synchronisation relieves seafarers from spending time producing manual reports and allows them to focus on managing the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.

Our dedicated mobile application supports remote working – ensuring you never miss a critical alert and have the right tools in your pocket to support your fleet at all times.

Virtual Vessel

Virtual Vessel is our Digital Twin solution. We use a physics based model enhanced through machine learning to accurately model the effects of wind, wave and current on vessels. We generate high accuracy, specific digital twins for vessels with high frequency data or use generic digital twins based on type and configuration when no historic performance data is available. Our Virtual Vessel models are used pre-voyage for consumption and emissions estimation and execution optimisation; during voyage for normalisation of data to ascertain voyage execution; and post voyage to determine voyage performance and vessel condition.
